How do I get started?
*Choose a design from the Home Page. Select a size. Selet canvas
or paper. Select a frame option (canvas only). Provide payment
information. Select your photograph and send to us. It's that
easy!
What
styles do you offer?
*See our *Styles *page or check out our *Gallery* for additional
ideas and variations of our styles.
What
materials do you use?
*The quality of our artwork is exceptional. We only use artist
grade canvas (painted appearance) or superior grade lustre paper
(poster appearance), together with UV resistant inks.
What
type of photos can I use?
*Digital photos, scanned photos or vintage photos. You can even
use cell phone photos but remember that better quality photos....
provide better quality custom photo art. If your photo cannot
be used, we will notify you via e mail and we will request another
photo.
Which
photos work best?
*Clear photos work the best. Head shots or close ups of objects
are recommended. Photos with good contrast (not too dark or
too bright) work well. Good lighting and color contrast provide
the best results. Shadows on the face are not recommended.
How do
I know what type of photo to provide?
*Each order page includes a recommended photo type for the chosen
style. You can forward more than (1) photo and our artists will
choose the best one for your application.
Can I
have creative input by providing special instructions?
*Yes, most certainly. You can request cropping, layout or color
family. You must state such in the special instructions box
on the order page. Our skilled artists are experts in color
selection as well as layout and composition. They will match
your artistic style chosen together with the qualities of the
photograph to provide the best possible result. You will receive
a preview e mail to ensure that you are satisified with our
artists selections.
Can
I scan my photos and e-mail them?
*Yes. Scan with 300 dpi recommended.
Can I
mail photos?
*Yes, we scan photos at no extra charge. Photos can be e mailed
or sent via standard mail. Please wrap your photos carefully
to prevent them from creasing or bending. We are not responsible
for lost or non received mail. Your photos (sent via standard
mail) will be returned with your finished customphotoarts.
Do
you ship internationally?
*Sorry, not at this time.
Do you
have art fees?
*Yes, each photo requires an art charge. Art charges vary depending
on the style chosen. Our skilled artists take great pride in
creating wonderful pieces of customphotoart from your photographs.
Each photograph is individually reviewed by our team of artists.
Each photograph requires a unique blend of artistic processes
and handcoloring via a computer tablet and pen. The combination
of computerized processes create results which are remarkably
similiar to traditional paint on canvas techniques. Upon your
initial order, will we gladly proof and reproof your artwork
for you (if necessary). If you require a third proof, you may
be charged for additional art time. The artist working with
you will notify you of the fees, if applicable. If you decide
on a change of style or photo after your original order for
art-design has begun, you must re-order an additional design
and additional fees will be applicable. If more than (1) photo
is required for a single piece of artwork, additional art fees
will apply.
Why can't
I receive my proof immediately upon ordering?
*Customphotoarts does not depend upon "one click"
computer generated filters to achieve your customphotoart piece.
Upon placing the order, your photo has yet to be evaluated by
our artists. Our skilled artists review each photo on an individual
basis. The artists establish cropping, blemish removal, etc...
Our process requires our photos to process through numerous
art programs, together with hand colorations, to achieve the
best possible result.
Do you
have gift certificates?
*Yes, Gift certificates are available for purchase online. You
can choose to receive them via standard mail or next day shipment.

When
will I receive my proof?
*Within 3-5 working days of your order.
Do
you provide framing?
*At this time, we provide two (2) stretcher bar options
for canvas artworks.
Can
I order a customphotoarts piece for a gift?
* Yes. Order the artwork as if you were ordering it for
yourself. Select giftees shipping address. You can include
copy for a complimentary gift card which we will include
with the shipment.
Can
my original customphotoarts piece be featured in your Gallery?
*Yes, Just check the appropriate box at checkout.
Do
you work with corporations or organizations?
* Yes. If you are looking to purchase original, fresh, customphotoarts
for your company, we can assist you. If you are a media/public
relations/production company, restaurant or retail store,
please contact us with your ideas. If your corporation or
organization is interested in purchasing creative corporate
gifts, we can also be of assistance. Please see the contact
infomation on our home page.
I
am a photography studio and would like to offer customphotoarts
to my clients. Is this possible?
*Yes, please contact us for additional information.
Do
you have a cancellation policy?
* You may cancel your order within 48 hours of placing it
or prior to our artists evaluation, whichever comes first.
Our artists will provide a proof to you within 5 days of
receiving your photo. Once our artists begin working on
your design, we will charge the design fee to your credit
card. We will certainly make modifications, per your request,
but if you decide to cancel the design portion entirely,
we must charge for the art/design which was already completed.
. Once the design is approved by you, your order will be
placed into production and printed. After you approve the
design, and your order is into prioduction, you MAY NOT
cancel the order. Your customphotoart piece is custom made
for you.
What
forms of payment do you accept?
* We accept Visa and MasterCard on the secure page of this
website. If you prefer to send a check or money order for
the full payment, you can send the payment with your photos
via the US mail. If you do not feel comfortable entering
your credit card information on-line, please e mail us for
payment contact information.
How
will I be charged?
* You will be charged for the art design fee first . Then
once you approve the art/design, you will be charged for
the full purchase price of your customphotoarts piece plus
shipping.
Can
I reorder a design?
* When we create your design, we save it. You will not need
to pay for an additional design fee because we archive our
art files. If you wish to order another in a few months,
please click the reorder button and provide the information
from your initial order. We will contact you if we have
additional questions.
How do I redeem a gift certificate?
* If you have a Customphotoarts.com gift certificate certificate,
you can redeem it by mailing it in with your photo. If you
are e mailing your photo, please send your gift certificate
seperately, via a secure carrier. Customphotoarts.com, PO
Box 31, Wales, WI 53183. Your gift certificate is uniquely
numbered and can only be redeemed once. Place your order
online and provide the gift certificate information in the
appropriate area. We will provide a new gift certificate
for you if you have moneys remaining. Please make a copy
of your gift certificate for your records, including all
appropriate numbers and dates. This is your only proof of
ownership.
Do
you guarantee your work?
*Yes, we guarantee that you will receive your approved design
in the style, size and material that you request. If your
customphotoarts.com piece is damaged during shipping, please
contact us (via e mail) within (3) business days of receipt.
Please save all original shipping materials. We will arrange
for pick up and replacement of your artwork. All sales are
final.
Can
I provide a photograph taken at a professional photography
studio?
* Sure, as long as you own the rights to the photograph.
Wedding, birthday, graduation, anniversary, holiday photos...
no problem.
